Similar to caste reservation system that prevails to hinder the meritocracy in educational as well as employment opportunities, large organisations have the problem of dealing with experience and meritocracy. There are very few cases where merit supersedes experience.
Work is the key motive at a workplace not the one who works and the style they use to work.
I agree to the fact that experienced people bring in their knowledge gained over the years into the task but that doesn’t mean a sophomore or a fresher at work is unworthy to take up big tasks!
It’s not the dearth of opportunities that we have in organizations but the dearth of right opportunities. If you consider that progress of people can be measured only by their experience levels, there will be lot of talent buried and underutilized!
One’s progression is best measured when it is proportionate to their talents and abilities.
Einstein rightly said “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it’s stupid! “It’s indeed a mere act of foolishness!
